Nine years ago I went on a blind date with someone I'd been talking to for maybe a few weeks.

"Last roll of the dice," I told myself, "if it works out, great. If not, no more. Either way, I'm done."

The second I saw him, I knew. He made me laugh, he made me feel excited, and he felt steady. A solid wall. I didn't want to say it, but I knew I loved him right then and there.

Four years ago, I said "I do". Surrounded by friends, family, our three children, and so much love. We've been to hell and back, and moved country, but I still love him just as much as I did on our wedding day. And yes, even as we looked through our wedding photos last night, he had me in stitches and crying with laughter.

I'll never have enough words to say how much I adore this man. And I'll never be able to thank him enough for everything he's done for our family. All I can do is love him until the day I die, and I'm certain that's something I can manage.

Happy ninth anniversary, Mr P. You're the love of my life ❤️ and I can't wait to keep exploring forever with you.
