I feel like I've been M.I.A 🤪but behind the scenes for those who don't know, I've been organising my daughter's destination wedding, the destination being Spain, with most guests flying in. It was the most fabulous day, I'm still in recovery 🤣 but today I've had to hit the ground running, (limping) dance floor inflicted injury 💃🏻as it's back to work I go.

Back from beautiful Úbeda, with a few bottles of the finest olive oils from Jaén province.

Although we make our own olive oil at La Rosilla, we still love to collect others – each with its own character, story, and flavour.

I'm a sucker for the bottles too, and the green oil of Moya from the first day of harvest limited edition is a treat. Rich, fruity, and full of sunshine.

Jaén is the world capital of olive oil, with endless groves rolling over the hillsides, in fact we drove over 250 km with only manicured oil groves in sight.

I'm excited for our harvest this year, after a few challenging years due to the drought. Our trees are full of Picual, let's hope the hold on.

Of course we had a few delicious meals too 😋

Love my thermometers, my favourite from ' Dibley' gifted to us as a leaving present from the U.K 21 years ago, finally hit sweltering today 🥵. The digital thermometer is from Alan's granny then passed on to his parents now for us, measuring Max temp this year 39.5 c in shade and minimum this year 7c in the winter.

Such a joy to spend a day in Málaga with Nellie for her birthday, we've created a foodie, wonderful but expensive 🤣.

Today we lunched at Mi Niña Lola, delicious, excellent, informative service.

After we chilled (roasted) at Valeria roof terrace.

Home now to the campo for some grounding 😋🤪

A wonderful day hosting lovely Dutch clients at La Rosilla – visiting from their homes in Marbella 🇳🇱☀️ Passionate foodies, full of fun and great conversation. It’s always a joy to welcome such warm, curious guests who dive right into the spirit of our mountain life and flavours.
