THX Mixes 031 - Warm Up for Mihai Popoviciu | UNDISCLOSED Live Mix by Thaddeus X

On August 28th, I had the pleasure of warming up for Mihai Popoviciu at UNDISCLOSED, held in Sosúa, Dominican Republic.

This mix was recorded live and is built around a deep and hypnotic sound, moving between deep house, minimal and tech house, following a musical direction closely connected to the sound Mihai has developed over the years.

Mihai and I also share a previous musical connection. On Last Cat On Earth, we shared a release featuring his remix of one of my tracks, “Nassau” (Mihai Popoviciu Remix).

The selection features music from artists such as Steve Bug, Pornbugs, Donato Dozzy, Benjamin Fröhlich and Mihai Popoviciu himself, among others.

I’ve also included my “Glory Box” (Thaddeus X ReEdit) of Portishead, released on Last Cat On Earth.

This is the result of that part of the night.

I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed mixing it.

This remix was born from the genuine musical vision of my dear and highly respected , with whom I’ve had the privilege of working on several projects.

The other day, I experienced a very special night at UNDISCLOSED.

One of the most exciting moments for me was hearing Mihai Popoviciu play “Nassau (Mihai Popoviciu Remix)”, the remix he made this year of one of my tracks.

Hearing my music playing on the dancefloor, in the hands of an artist I deeply admire, is one of those moments that makes all the hard work feel worthwhile. 🖤

I want to express my deepest appreciation to the entire [UNDISCLOSED]] team for having me as part of the night, even though the line-up was already complete when we first met. Thank you for the wonderful treatment and for giving me the opportunity to be part of this special night.

A special mention to Iván Romero, who made me feel like a member of the UNDISCLOSED family from the very beginning.

Now that I’ve had the chance to get to know you and understand a little better what you’re trying to create, I have to say that I really love the concept behind UNDISCLOSED: creating intimate, limited-capacity events, being selective about who becomes part of them, and creating a space where people can feel comfortable, dance, enjoy the music and connect.

I believe that this way of doing things is precisely what allows you to build a real community and, over time, create increasingly special and high-quality parties.

I feel very happy and, above all, deeply honoured that my music is part of the selection for Past, Present, Progressive #002, and to be part of another compilation from the Sound Avenue family.

Thaddeus X – Until the Oceans [Forward Music] – FM086LP

Until the Oceans was originally released on 3rd Avenue in 2025, as part of an EP alongside My Strangest Friend and Orion. The track Orion also had the great honour of being selected by John Digweed for his Transitions 1112 episode.

Now Until the Oceans finds a new place within this wonderful compilation, bringing past and present together through music.
It is a real privilege to see how a track I worked on some time ago continues to find new paths and reach new ears.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire Sound Avenue team for including me once again and for continuing to believe in my music.

John Digweed – Monumento Nacional a la Bandera, Rosario, Argentina.

On January 30th, DJ John Digweed celebrated a pop-up store for his Bedrock label in Rosario, Argentina, starting with 1,000 people and ending with 35,000.

He played a two-hour set that opened with a wonderful combination of the two versions of my Re-Edit of Massive Attack’s Unfinished Sympathy. Two very special versions for us, which this legend chose to kick off one of the most iconic sessions of recent years.
