Ever wondered how cloudy a DJ's music taste could get along their journey?

The rejections, failures, and trials shape how the artist becomes who they are, or if they pull out of the game and decide they can't keep pushing. This happens to 80% of people who aren't resilient enough to handle the cruelty of the music industry.

The first stage is entry level. You discover electronic music through a certain event, tape for the older generations, or a party you went to. Either you click with it or it's not for you.

Then you come across an artist you really enjoy and start thinking you'd love to be on the booth. The beginning and entry level is always a cool game. You play music to your friends and everyone cheers for you even though you're not the best in terms of skills. You find some support from your surroundings, and when you're hooked, you start seeing the cruelty of the industry and how hard it is to get yourself booked in your dream clubs or festivals.

That might pressure you to follow trends or lose your identity along the way, unless you're not doing it for fame or money. When you're passionate about it, you become unstoppable. The rejections and failures become your fuel that keeps pushing you toward your dream. That's when your music taste will always resonate with what you love and what you do, regardless of what's trending. It's okay to evolve along the way with the music, but staying true to your sound is essential.

Here are the stages of how my music evolved yet reshaped to become a fusion of sounds that brings my signature and identity to a whole new level, and how far it took me to keep myself from burning out and losing track.
