Global Conference Management (GCM) is an award-winning event management company delivering world-class conferences, exhibitions, summits, and special events for governments, international organizations, development agencies, and global brands across Africa and beyond.
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our growth strategy, expand our client portfolio, and develop strategic partnerships that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute business development and growth strategies.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities with government entities, international organizations, NGOs, and multinational corporations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Lead proposal preparation, tender submissions, and commercial negotiations.
• Achieve revenue targets and business growth objectives.
• Represent GCM at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
• Monitor market trends and identify new opportunities within the events and MICE industry.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field. MBA or DBA from an accredited university is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or account management.
• Proven track record of securing high-value contracts and strategic partnerships.
• Strong network within government, corporate, diplomatic, or international development sectors.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Experience in the events, conferences, exhibitions, or hospitality industry is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic and/or French is an advantage.
