The Egyptian Ophthalmological Society (EOS) proudly announces a historic milestone for Egyptian ophthalmology — the launch of a landmark international partnership with the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), the largest and most prestigious global society dedicated to cataract and refractive surgery.

As the oldest ophthalmological scientific society in Africa and the Middle East, EOS continues to lead the region in advancing eye care, research, and education. This new affiliation marks the beginning of a new era of international cooperation, offering unparalleled opportunities for scientific exchange, professional development, and collaboration in education and training.

EOS is also proud to celebrate this moment alongside its valued national partners — the Egyptian Society of Ocular Implants and Refractive Surgery (ESOIRS) and the Egyptian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (EgSCRS) — working together in unity and shared purpose to elevate the standards of ophthalmic practice in Egypt.
