Our celebration of Mexican Independence was more than a party. It was the gathering of friends and family. It was a meeting point of many Mexicans that have lived in Tartu for several years, and other new faces that have just arrived. It was the warmth of the Latinos together, and of the international friends who came to enjoy and support us. It was the place where curious locals came by to taste "Authentic Mexican Food" and left with a happy face. In the end, we all shouted out loud VIVA MEXICO 🇲🇽 as one big family. Thank you, gracias, aitäh. Your presence was incredibly valuable.

The "Grito de Independencia" is a ceremony done all around Mexico, and by Mexicans around the world, where we name the fallen heroes who died during the War of Independence and shout "Viva Mexico!" 🇲🇽 It was an honor for Proyecto Mehhiko to lead this "Independence Cry" along Mexicans, Estonians and international friends in Tartu.
