The day this photo was taken marked 11 months since we had done our last wedding Pre-Covid. This was a BEAUTIFUL elopement for 6 pax and it reminded me of the excitement and adrenaline that go through my veins at every wedding. I cherished this day so much and I truly cannot wait for our official season to kick back in in May.

It's been 3.5 years since this day, but this wedding still marks one of our biggest challenges EVER. V+J were set to have a destination wedding in Puerto Rico on Sept 9 of 2017 with services from our sister company . Now... do you remember what happened that week? HURRICANE IRMA HAPPENED, fully destroying the island. We had to cancel all PR plans on Wed (three days before the wedding) and use those same three days to move everything to DC. So.... yes, we can plan a wedding in three days!

We are so grateful for all our DC network of vendors who came to the aid in that short notice (venue, cake, catering, rentals, hair, makeup etc). Luckily as well, the photographer and florist were from this area too, so that was an easy transition.

While I certainly was not happy to not see them have their original plans, I do have to say that making it all happen for them so quickly here in DC is one of the most fulfilling challenges I've ever encountered. They still had a perfect day!

After 11 months without weddings, we're so so so so beyond excited to share the sneak peeks of our first wedding of 2021. We are beyond honored to have been a part of E+K's weddding journey, one that had to survive all the ordeals of 2020 and postponing and so on. We're so grateful for the opportunity to have served them on their 8 pax intimate wedding. And similarly, we're grateful for all the vendors that joined forces to give them the perfect day!
