Tonight is a very special night - Carnegie Hall reopens with its first live performance in more than a year and a half ✨ I feel honored to be a part of this important moment, and am happy to share it with my great colleagues Yannick Nezet-Seguin & The Philadelphia Orchestra. I cannot wait to walk onto that beautiful stage again!

A new chapter is about to begin 🤩

This week marks the start of my tenure as Chief Conductor of my beloved Musikkollegium Winterthur - I am both humbled and thrilled to take on this responsibility and look forward to the very exciting road ahead of us 😍

In order to start in style, we’ll be presenting “¡Bienvenido Roberto!” - four concerts portraying pieces, genres, composers (and some extra-musical elements, too!) close to my heart.

October 6 - kicking off with works by Richard Dubugnon, Brahms & Schumann, together with my dear friend Andreas Ottensamer. With this programme we’ll reflect on the relationship between past and present in music, and pay respect to the enormous influence and legacy of J. S. Bach.

October 10 - a tribute to modern genius John Williams, who has left an indelible mark in the way the whole world perceived music thanks to his universal film soundtracks. We’ll perform highlights from Star Wars, Superman, Schindler’s List, E.T. and many others!

October 11 - two things I feel extremely passionate about - music & wine - come together in dialogue through a tasting journey, musically illustrated by Rahel Harnisch and Selina Cuonz and curated in collaboration with ARVI - The Swiss Vault of Fine & Rare Wines 🍷

October 13 - my last concert alongside the fabulous Winterthurer Streichquartett, which has been a true home (and a school!) for me in the past years. We’ll take our audience through a journey in time with Haydn, Golijov, Prokofiev and Debussy.
