Summer is here friends! ☀️
Tomorrow(Sunday) i am invited to play my first outdoor DJ set of the year at the Arcanum Collective & Byhaven: Sunday Boogie (free event) at Byhaven Pumpehuset. 💓
I am super pumped for it and i have collected some delicious sunshine tunes to share with you all! I hope you swing by for a dance in the sun. 😎

Sometimes I catch myself going about my days in a robotic manner without knowing how to break out of the loop. I realise that I feel disconnected from my body, emotionally clogged up and that I have not felt playful in ages.🤖

This tends to come with a feeling of a disconnection to the people around me and a sense that I don’t belong. 🫥

The cure that has worked most effectively for me, to relieve this condition has always been a good dance floor.💃🕺

It allows me to drop back in to my body and start expressing my self and I give me the chance to connect with the other dancers through play and movement.

This is the main reason I am so obsessed with great dance floors and have dedicated myself to learn how to create more of such spaces, as I find that there are too few dance floors out there that can bring me that relief.

Here are 3 qualities that I find I need for a dance floor to be transformative:

1. The music has to resonate with me on a deeper level and seduce me to go along for the journey, to allow me to drop from my mind to my body. 🔊❤️‍🔥
2. A decorated environment that feels novel and breaks with the everyday aesthetic to shift me into a different mind space than my defualt.✨
3. A safe social environment, where I can trust people to be attuned to others boundaries. This allows me to open up to my full embodied expression.💞

Last month, I hosted a dance floor ceremony together with Magnús, called The Dance Portal, with the aim to really design a dance floor that would feel safe, playful and connecting to the participants and I am so amazed by the energy that was created within the group of dancers.🤩🔥

We both feel really inspired after the magic that was created at the first Dance Portal and we believe that there is still room to improve and make an even more impactful experience, so we have decided to make a second edition of The Dance Portal on the 27th April. 🚀🌀

I was blessed to be part of co-creating a beautiful retreat with a bunch of amazing humans, over the easter, called the Odyssey.🥰

One of the nights we had a deep ceremonial journey together. I was in charge of guiding the experience with my music and it was really touching to see how it resonated with people.

It is a bit different style than you might have heard me play but i really enjoy it and think you might like it two.😁

It is slow, deep, organic and soulful. Works well both for focused listening and to have playing in the background as it is quite gentle tunes. 🪷

I had this awesome gig a few weeks ago.🥳
It was a late Christmas dinner for a volleyball club.
I brought all my lights and created a custom-made light show to create an immersive experience for the client.🤟
I made sure there was never a dull moment and played banger after banger and they were bouncing off the walls for hours. ☄️ 😁
It is such a joy to provide people a space to really let loose and have some epic fun with their friends! 💖

As always I forgot to record until 40 minutes into the set. 🙄 That means that the recording is high energy from the very beginning but if you can catch the wave and like to sing along, I am sure you will enjoy it. 🌊
