At THIS 2025, we look ahead to where the industry is going and how to get there. The industry thrives on transformation, and this week we present three sessions that dive straight into it.

Whether you’re a composer turning scripts into music, a producer shaping shows that spark conversation, or a director bringing real-life experiences into fiction, we’ve got you covered.

In his keynote “Future of Conversation – Something Shared in a Time of Individuality”, Nikolaj Vitting Hermann, Head of Content and Collaborations at The Danish Broadcasting Corporation, argues that the real challenge is to keep access to each other’s lives open and to create occasions where we share the same conversation.

The panel “Future of Stories – The Narratives Missing from Our Screens” brings together screenwriters Charlotte Bonnevie Mwakitalu and Shirin Aziz, journalist and documentary director Nagieb Khaja, and journalist and director Milan Ganesan to discuss representation, new voices, and the power of stories to reshape cultural understanding.

And in “Future of Translating Script into Music – The Emotional Engine of Storytelling”, film composer Halfdan E and music supervisors Thomas Golubić and Paulina Marquez pull back the curtain on how sound shapes narrative. From subtle choices of tempo to the unforgettable impact of the perfect cue, discover why music is storytelling in its own right.

From the stories airing in primetime, to the production pipeline, and the new voices redefining screenwriting, THIS takes a deep dive into the trends and tendencies shaping the future of Nordic series📺

In the session “Future of Production – From Greenlight to Global Release”, leading Danish production companies share how they take stories from greenlight to global release and talk about what it takes to keep productions competitive in today’s fast-changing media world.

What stories will shape tomorrow’s screens? Four newly graduated screenwriters from The National Film School of Denmark offer their fresh perspectives, visions and ambitions in the session “Future of Screenwriting - Creating the Worlds We Want to Watch”

And finally; How do we shape series for primetime in Scandinavia? To answer that question, we have gathered leading executives from Denmark, Norway and Sweden, who will give a glimpse into the evolving world of scripted drama from Nordic broadcasters.

✨First speaker announcement for THIS 2025 is here!✨

We’re thrilled to announce our first three sessions at THIS. Three sessions that, in our humble opinion, you don’t want to miss.

Meet Stefanie Sword-Williams FRSA (she/her), award-winning founder, TEDx speaker and author of F*ck Being Humble. In the session, “Future of marketing – F*ck being Humble”, Stefanie will go into why self-promotion isn’t arrogance, but a career necessity in today’s competitive landscape - whether you’re marketing a brand or yourself.

London-based music supervisors, Jenn Egan and Hayley Smith, join forces in the session “Future of Soundtracks – How to Hook Gen Z”. Jenn is known for her work on Conclave (2024), Fountain of Youth (2025), and Am I Being Unreasonable? (2022), while Hayley has brought her expertise to shows like ITV’s Love Island, where music choices set the tone for millions of viewers.

Larry Pipitone and Joseph Ellis, two of the three founders behind New York based multidisciplinary creative agency, GrandArmy join us for the session “Future of Marketing Series – Crafting Brands, Driving Viewers”. From shaping campaigns for A24, NPR, ESPN and collaborating with Google & Nike, GrandArmy knows how to cut through the noise and build cultural phenomena.

Stay tuned and join us in celebrating the future of media and content.

From the bottom of our tech-infused hearts: THANK YOU for joining us at THIS 2024 💓

This year, we really wanted to make friends with technology – a friendship that’s thoughtful and critical when needed. We explored everything from groundbreaking tech trends and democratized AI tools to actors exposing data fraud and battling digital villains. In short, we went full circle.

Over the course of 2 days, we hosted 3 tracks featuring 60+ speakers, held 4 social events, and wrapped it all up with 1 grand award show—delivering endless insights and inspiration spanning the realms of technology, gaming, and series. We’re deeply grateful for every speaker who shared their knowledge, for our amazing sponsors and for our incredible audience. It’s a cliché, but it’s true: none of this would have been possible without you.

As we close this chapter, let’s remember to look out for one another, not just in the digital world but more importantly in the “real” one. In times as uncertain as these, unity and empathy matter more than ever. It reminds us, that the relationship between humans will always be the most important connection of all.

See you all at THIS 2025 for more insights, inspiration and shared moments. Thank you again and take care ✨
