The idea was born in Budapest… when two friends and lovers of choral music - Piroska Horváth, today co- founder and managing director of meeting music and Mo Gábor Hollerung, artistic director - realized their dream, which was to work for the choral community and to unite in music through choral

competition. Since then a lot has happened and together with an international organizing team their work is assisted perfectly well. meeting music gathers singers from around the globe and offers great opportunity to all amateur choirs to perform on international stages,
to make choral music popular among others and to unite in harmony through music. Around Europe meeting music choral festivals and competitions at numerous locations, cooperate with fantastic musical professionals to assure the events’ high standard and underline the idea of a familiar and common goal. Let us work entirely to spread the joy of choral singing to the global public to bring more and more people to sing in a choir to unite and bring them together to our events. We are proudly introducing Coro da Assembleia da República again.🇵🇹🇵🇹
A Group that consists only of parliament professionals and associates of the Portuguese National Assembly and well-known guests at ✨Beira Interior Int. Choir Competition & Festival. ✨

Since its founding in 2005, the choir has grown to 20 members and their maestro Afonso Granjo, who is himself a member of the National Theatre Choir de São Carlos, has been the conductor of the group ever since. 🫡🫡🫡

The choir’s repertoire includes both traditional and classical music, ranging from the Renaissance period to the present day. 🎻📆
They perform within the Assembly of the Republic and beyond, mostly collaborating with other Portuguese-speaking parliaments like the Legislative Assemblies of the Azores and Madeira, Cape Verde, and the Legislative Assembly of Goa. 🌏🌎🌍

Since this year the just introduced Corisco D’Aveiro also features a women’s and men’s ensemble having their stage premiere at the ✨ Beira Interior Int. Choir Competition & Festival ✨ 🇵🇹🇵🇹👸👸🫅🫅

Patricia Costa, the conductor as well as the “Coros As Auroras” perform a variety of works from different cultures, styles and eras, trying to reflect a women’s perspective often misrepresented in art. 🪕🎸🪗🎺

Truly impressive are the Adufe and Djembe, two percussion instruments originating from the Iberian Peninsula.🐂🐂

⚡The remarkable men’s ensemble Coro Os Trovões⚡takes us on a musical journey across continents and traditions — 🌍from the soul of African American spirituals, through the rhythms of Brazilian popular music (MPB), to the deep-rooted heritage of Cante Alentejano, the traditional polyphonic singing of southern Portugal. 🍀🍀

Always great to see familiar faces,
please welcome with me, the first choir out of the Somavozes Cultural Association, “Corisco D’aveiro” and their conducter Patricia Costa. 🇵🇹🇵🇹

Since the founding in 2024 they have taken part in the last Beira Interior Int. Choir Competition & Festival and in the In Canto sul Garda - International Choir Festival & Competition 2025, where they left their unique fingerprint impressing amany of the attendees which resulted in a jury award, rewarding their charismatic and striking stage presence. We are fans of their varied repertoire and will to unite different cultures and people throughout music.

Dear Choristers, please allow me to introduce the experienced and renowned Grupo Coral Magister from Mealhada, Portugal. 🇵🇹🇵🇹

📜📜Since 1988 when the choir took stage for the first time, they have published several records and funding social projects with the proceeds.📀📀 Besides that, there have been multiple collaborations with a range of institutions globally and locally making the singers beloved meeting music family members and always welcomed guests at our festivals. 🤝👩‍🎙

We can’t wait for their performance and to see what Iryna Rýbina the conductor and artistic director has got for us. 🌺

Choir Competition & Festival✨, “Notas Livres” has started fostering choir music in 2009 and has already gathered more than 200 successful performances in Portugal as well as abroad.🇵🇹🇵🇹🌎🌍

🎶Maria Meireles is conducting the group in her fourth year maintaining focus on contemporary music paired with classical works from the recent past centuries. Refined with a small pinch of jazz they create a perfect match, while representing Portugal at the ✨Beira Interior Int. Choir Competition & Festival✨,

Let us welcome another choir from Estonia: Tabasalu Kammerkoor🇪🇪🇪🇪

✨The Tabasalu Kammerkoor is composed of a diverse mix. Former students, singing enthusiasts and the local community have formed an organization that is having its 25th birthday this year. 🎂🎂

🎊The choir has participated in Estonia’s national song festivals and concerts, singing days, competitions, and festivals in Estonia and abroad, including Finland, Italy and more! In Estonia, they perform in inspiring venues such as the Arvo Pärt Centre, the Estonian National Museum, manor houses, and churches.🏅🪇
Their repertoire ranges from Estonian folk arrangements and classical choral works to pop-jazz songs. 🎷🎙️

Tabasalu Kammerkoor and their conductor Mai Ainsalu bring joy and energy to every event they can find, truly meeting in music. 💖

From Lithuania, let us welcome Kauno kultūros centro mišrus choras „Kamertonas“🇱🇹🇱🇹

🎊🎉Founded in 1995, the Kaunas Cultural Centre Mixed Choir "Kamertonas" marked its 30th anniversary in 2025. The choir has consistently been active in its performance career performing all over the European continent.🇪🇺🌍

Since 1998, choir “Kamertonas” has been a regular participant in the Kaunas and National Lithuanian Song Festivals, upholding a deep-rooted tradition, recognized as part of UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage.📜📜

In December 2003, Kęstutis Jakeliūnas became the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Kaunas Mixed Choir “Kamertonas”. Under his leadership, the choir has continued its active presence in the musical world, frequently performing in concerts, international festivals, competitions, and various artistic projects for 31 years and beyond.☄☄

We first met this girls’ choir from Lithuania last year at✨ In Canto sul Garda - International Choir Festival & Competition ✨ where they left a flawless impression and with a golden diploma title winner in the category "Youth Choir of equal voices". 🇮🇹🚤🥇🥇

We are delighted to introduce you, Pasvalio muzikos mokyklos mergaičių choras „Svalija”. 🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🥰🥰

🎼Either it is one of the biggest youth choir festivals in Lithuania, the “Mes Lietuvos vaikai” with thousands of choristers or the XVI Republic Festival-competition dedicated to St. Cecilia, or republican choir competitions they usually strive for the best result and turn even house concerts into an invigorating experience. 💫💫
