It feels like everyone wants to be a DJ right now. 🙋🏻♀️🎶
And I get it. From the outside, this career looks like freedom: music, travel, clubs, incredible places and nights you’ll never forget.
I love what I do. But when DJing is your full time profession, you also see the other side.
Behind a few visible hours are often days of work without applause: finding music, preparing, producing, pitching, creating content, networking and travelling. Add competition, rejection and never really knowing what comes next.
And now AI is changing an industry where the barriers to entry were already getting lower.
Maybe that means we’ll see more DJs than ever.
But technology doesn’t make an artist.
What matters long-term is having your own musical identity, personality, experience and the willingness to keep going year after year.
Becoming a DJ is easier than ever.
Making a living from it and staying in the game is something else. 🫶
