I recently stayed at a beautiful hotel in Los Angeles. The is situated on the bustling corner of 7th Street and Olive Street in Downtown LA, housed in the historic Giannini Building, which was built in 1922 as the Bank of Italy.

Each of the 241 rooms and suites feels like a stylish apartment and is adorned with artfully arranged photographs of varying sizes, contrasting historical scenes from Italy with modern motifs from Los Angeles.

To fully appreciate the building’s splendour, one must dine at the Per La Ora restaurant beneath the restored blue-and-gold Italian-style ceiling. Yet this is by no means a pretentious place. Despite the spacious atmosphere of the lobby, the ambience is typically Californian – relaxed and cosy, with upholstered chairs and tables set close together.

Hotel Per LA – a name that pays tribute to the building’s humble origins as a bank for the people. 😍🇺🇸

The most essential aspect of my work as a venue finder and event planner is visiting hotels on-site.

Following the renovation in winter 2020, I finally had the opportunity to experience the facilities at the Resort & Spa with its 301 guest room. What a gorgeous and successful transformation.

The 5-star beach resort offers numerous and varied conference and event rooms for groups. The hotel was built on the grounds of a 19th-century villa that was once the summer residence of one of Malta's leading industrialists in the 20th century and is one of the oldest buildings in the Balluta area. Today, it houses two restaurants. The hotel is situated in historical Balluta Bay a 20-minute drive from Valletta, between the centre of St Julian’s and Sliema, offers bars, restaurants, shopping and entertainment options in walking distance.

"Ozapft is!" 🍻🥨❤️🎠

Das 190. Oktoberfest, das größte Volksfest der Welt auf der Theresienwiese in München ist offiziell eröffnet.

Der Ansturm auf die Zelte heute morgen war wie gewohnt riesig. Immerhin gibt es auf dem Oktoberfest nur 120.000 Sitzplätze.

Werden wir in diesem Jahr einen neuen Besucherrekord verzeichnen? Nach Schätzung der Festleitung kamen 2024 an 16 Tagen bis 6,7 Millionen Gäste (2023: 7,2 Millionen an 18 Tagen).

Der Bierpreis für eine Maß Bier (1 Liter) dieses Jahr liegt zwischen 14,50 Euro und 15,80 Euro. Das halbe Hendl kostet beim je nach Zelt zwischen 17,20 Euro und 24,90 Euro. Am günstigsten ist es in der Augustiner Festhalle mit 17,20 Euro, gefolgt vom Bräurosl Festzelt mit 17,50 Euro. 🍗🍺

Ich habe in den letzten 30 Jahren schöne Erinnerungen gesammelt, mit dem ein oder anderen frisch gezapften Wiesn Bier, einem knusprigen Hendl, einer Fahrt im Riesenrad, meinen geliebten Schokofrüchten und jeder Menge Spaß.

Dieses Jahr besuche ich das Oktoberfest erst am zweiten Wochenende. Ich wünsche allen eine friedliche und schöne Wiesn! 🍺 Ich bin schon sehr gespannt, wer das Rennen um den diesjährigen Wiesnhit für sich entscheidet.
