It started with the idea of creating a shoot in Germany.
Then Sandy found this stunning location in Portugal and came to me with: „I have a concept in mind. But for this one, we need to go to Portugal.”
So we went to Portugal.
For this editorial, I gave her complete creative freedom. She is not only part of our planning team, but an artist herself and I wanted her to bring exactly that side of her into this project.
I trusted her with the concept, the creative direction and the freedom to create something entirely her own.
And this is what she created.
Raw textures, sculptural forms and unexpected materials coming together in a tablescape that feels like an art installation.
What I love most about this project is that it doesn’t look like something I would have created myself. And that was exactly the point.
Building a creative team isn’t about having everyone think the same way. It’s about bringing together different perspectives, trusting them and giving great ideas the space to become something real.
Even when that idea means moving the entire shoot from Germany to Portugal.
