Vogue France published this Provence wedding at the end of August. Katherine and Steven came from New York, married in the cypress alley at Château Martinay, and stayed five days.

Our part was the linen. 60 tablecloths, pure linen, off-white, several of them made to order.

Nothing about that choice was neutral. The design already carried a commissioned toile de Jouy, two embroidered rabbits and a hundred antique postcards as place cards. Off-white is what let all of it read.

Five days of events at Château Martinay, and nearly all of them outside. A rehearsal dinner on the balcony, a welcome party in the park, the wedding dinner, a brunch by the pool. We supplied close to sixty off-white linen tablecloths for it, several made to measure. Published by Vogue France in August. We work with planners and venues across Europe.

Vogue France has published Katherine and Steven's wedding.

Five days in Provence at Château Martinay, planned and designed by and photographed by . Our name sits on the credit list under Linens, and we are glad it is there.

Twenty-seven names on that list. Which is what a weekend at this level actually is. Not one vision carried by one studio, but twenty-seven people each getting a single thing exactly right, in the same place, in the same week.

Why Potsdam? Why Werder? Why now?

We chose Potsdam for reasons that have very little to do with business.

The city feels like an open-air museum. Its palaces and parks are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and we still haven’t seen all of them. In between are lakes made for a summer evening on a paddleboard, endless green, and more places to discover than one summer could possibly hold.

From our new home, Berlin is still close enough to remain part of our everyday life while we get to live at a very different pace.

And then, almost unexpectedly, the personal decision started to make a lot of sense professionally, too.

In January 2027, the studio will follow: Hall 4 at the Vulkan-Fiber-Fabrik in Werder an der Havel, a former industrial site directly by the marina. From central Berlin, Werder is around half an hour by regional train.

That part matters for the work.

We already deliver to Berlin regularly and work with clients throughout the region. Being here means shorter distances to venues, planners and partners and makes it much easier for clients to visit us and experience the rental collection in person before booking.

For everyone elsewhere in Germany and Europe, very little changes.

Except, perhaps, that our logistics are about to get better.

Why now?

Because sometimes a new chapter doesn’t begin with a business plan. It begins with the feeling that you have found the place where you want the next part of your life to happen.

Potsdam becomes our home next week.

For Nina and Julian's wedding at Aethos Ericeira, the entire table linen travelled from our studio to the Portuguese coast: tablecloths and napkins in pure linen, chosen to sit against the natural stone and greenery of the venue.

A quick word on the material. Pure linen falls in soft, irregular folds that catch the light differently than any pressed cotton or polyester blend, and that is what gives a long welcome table its relaxed, editorial elegance. The weight of the fabric does much of the styling on its own.

We are one of only a few studios in Europe specialised in linen table linen, with more than 50 colours in our range. That is what lets a tablescape be built around a single considered tone or a deliberate contrast, instead of whatever a supplier happens to have on the shelf.

And yes, we deliver across Europe. This table was packed and shipped from Germany as a single source and set on the coast of Portugal, ready to unfold on arrival.

A new chapter. 🤍

After a long search, we found it - a home close to the shores we love most. From September, we will call Potsdam home, in the Nauener Vorstadt near the Jungfernsee.

And because a labour of love deserves a place that reflects it, Magnolias on Silk will move too. Early next year, our studio and warehouse will begin their next chapter by the marina in Werder close to Berlin.

Water, light, gardens, long tables beneath old trees, this is the world our tablescapes have always grown from. We could not be happier to be this close to it now, in life as well as in work.

For everyone celebrating and planning with us, everything continues as usual. We will share all practical details well before the move.

This editorial exists because five people trusted the same idea before seeing it.
We had never worked with pistachio linen. The team at Château Belle Époque had just finished building their orangerie and wanted its first styled event to set the tone. Histoire de Fleur arranged coral peonies next to artichokes without knowing how the light through the glass walls would shift every shadow by noon.
None of us had a final picture in our heads. What we had was a shared logic: quiet surface, warm accent, gold as frame, and the confidence that the room would do the rest.

The result was later published in French Wedding Style and Bajan Wed. Not because every detail was planned, but because the decisions that mattered were made together, early, and then left alone.

Oliver Furth, AD100-listed designer, recently described what he calls an epidemic of beigeness in interiors. Not the color itself, but the mindset behind it. We see the same pattern at the wedding table. The algorithm rewards what is safe. Safe gets repeated. And repetition becomes the default.

But safe is not the same as beautiful. And it is certainly not the same as unique.

Color is not a risk. It is a choice. One that turns a table into a memory rather than a backdrop. At Magnolias on Silk, every color concept begins with a question, never with a template.

There is a moment just before guests arrive when a room belongs only to itself. In the new orangerie at Château Belle Époque, that moment lasted long enough to shape every decision we made.
The glass walls in Nouvelle-Aquitaine showed us early: this table would not be built around flowers. It would be built around light. Pistachio linen became the surface that quieted everything. Coral and apricot florals could stay warm without turning sweet. Gold repeated softly in cutlery, rim, candlelight. And the ch*****ne base held it all together without asking for attention.

One detail we learned the hard way: artichokes placed directly on linen leave a stain that never comes out. That tablecloth still carries its memory of this shoot. The best editorials often depend on decisions nobody sees.

A quiet moment behind the scenes at the Belvedere. The setup was complete, the museum opened, and the first visitors entered the hall. Many didn't pause at the Baroque sculptures in the arched niches. They paused at the table. Pale yellow roses on Undine lace. Sage green linen against marble. Amber glass holding the afternoon light. A table doesn't need to compete with a Baroque hall. It needs to answer it.
