R.I.P. Freddie Jackson (died October 5.)
very successful R&B Soul singer in the 80s.
before his solo career he joined the Discofunk band Mystic Merlin for their 3rd Album Full Moon in 1982 and gave us the now classic Mr. Magician. He also did backround vocals for a long list of artists including Melba Moore, Evelyn King, Lillo, Howard Johnson, Marc Sadane and Melisa Morgan among many others. He had over 30 r&b chart entries including 10 number ones! He is listed as one of the most successful singers of the 80s. His biggest hits are his ballads like rock me tonight and many others which are great but for me it's his more dancefloor friendly material. Mr. Magician will for always be one of my favourite songs. His 1985 single He Can Never Love You also has a special place in my heart. Thank you for the music!

R.I.P Ray Francis Caviano 🙏

a very influencial behind the scenes figure. Spent well over 40 years in the music business, was still promoting new music literally untill his last breath.
Former head of disco promotions for T.K.Records, then at Warner Bros. who would then in 1979 give him his own label RFC Records. Home to artists such as Change, Gino Soccio and many more.
A couple years ago i recorded two DJ Mixes as a tribute to RFC Records. He heard them, loved them and shared them trough his social media outlets.
I had both mixes on mixcloud but only the second one (Vol.2) can still be found online.
