🛡️ From historical manuscripts to medieval armour:

We’re excited to welcome Dierk Hagedorn, known throughout the HEMA community as „The Sourcerer“, to Hanseschlag IV.

A long-time researcher, author and source enthusiast, Dierk has made numerous historical fencing manuscripts accessible to practitioners around the world.

At Hanseschlag, he will take us into the fascinating world of the Kastenbrust – one of the most distinctive armour styles of the late Middle Ages. Through manuscripts, artwork and historical sources, we’ll explore what makes this armour so unique.
