Wer ist dabei?

Join us for our very first Facebook Live! On Tuesday May 4th (7pm BST / 8pm CEST / 2pm EDT), the fab Nienke Koedijk (Nienke Koedijk Beeld), Julia Rose-Greim (Rose-Greim-Fotografie) and myself (Alan Law, TiR:F Founder) will be doing a live critique of some of our members' documentary family captures.

The Live will be right here on our page, and viewable for everyone - but only TiR:F members will be able to submit images to be critiqued, and, after the Live, the video will only be available to re-watch for members, too.

Liebe Kollegen, wer ist dabei? Es wird spannend, lustig und quasi die inoffizielle Corona-Jahresabschluss-Fete ;)

Ihr Lieben, heute ist der 6. (und letzte für 2020) Doku-Kritik-Talk. Dieses Mal haben wir die kanadische Familien-, Hochzeits- und Geburtsfotografin Jenna Shouldice eingeladen.
Seit einigen Jahre hat sie ein tolles Projekt über Geburten - darüber und vieles mehr wollen wir mit ihr sprechen. (Sprache Englisch, aber wir übersetzen auch wieder)
Außerdem ist sie Co-Founder der Documentary Family Awards (zusammen mit Kirsten Lewis und Tristan Shouldice)
Ein Jahresabschlusshighlight bevor es in die Weihnachts-Jahreswechsel-Pause geht (am 15.1.21 sehen wir uns zum 7. Doku-Kritik-Talk wieder).

Reportage Family Award by Julia Rose-Greim

So excited to reveal the results of Collection Two! This is truly exceptional work; emotion, humour, connections, new life, laughter, tears, tantrums… real life. And this really is art; incredible captures of real people, real families – real moments – captured by some of the best documentary family photographers in the world.

With almost 4400 images submitted across our Reportage Family Award (for individual captures) and Family Story Award (for a series of images of a single family) entries, it was once again incredibly tough to win an Award – with our five judges for this round (the great Liam Shaw of York Place Studios, Antonina Mamzenko, Anna Rowland, Shelley Reis, and David Scholes) awarding just 141 Reportage Family Awards and 25 Family Story Awards.

Happy Dance... 4 meiner Bilder wurden bei This is Reportage: Family ausgezeichnet. Aus über 4000 Einreichungen haben 114 Bilder eine Auszeichnung bekommen.

So excited to reveal the winners of our very first This is Reportage: Family Awards! It was absolutely fantastic to see so many entries for our first round – with over 4000 images submitted across our Reportage Family Award (for the very best individual captures) and Family Story Award (for a series of 15 – 20 images of a single family) entries.

To get an Award was incredibly tough, with our five judges for this round choosing just 114 Reportage Family Awards and 24 Family Story Awards.
