after 1,5 years in storage we finally brought out the sound again for greater sounds, hosted by one of our crew members. and what a beautiful night it was! we couldn‘t run full power on the bass due to the location and tried a three-way setup, sound was still decent for the small venue. really happy to see that the Berlin underground is still alive and so many people showed up. Just moving and setting up the sound and no further obligations than dancing was a nice change of perspective for me after all the usual hustle in the past year. let‘s hope the time until the next maratone outing is shorter.

Time flies, two months passed already since my last chance to play some records out. Treasure Sounds was a great dance once again, many thanks to Dennis Mayer and Hei-ko Treasuresounds for the invite and hospitality. Always a pleasure playing at Goldener Salon. What a night! Trophy is headed to San Francisco and Adam Wake The Town will play tunes all night long alongside myself at Reggae Rumble. Massive respect and gratitude to Ray and Sugar for participating and playing a thrilling clash for the books.

Counting the days for a very special weekend. We'll run two nights with the soundsystem, powering the Vintage Jamaican Music Soundclash on the 30th and Reggae Rumble on the 31st. Selectors and guests from all over the world will be around for these events celebrating original Jamaican Music and Soundsystem Culture.
Don't miss out on this, it will most likely be the last chance attending an Jamaican Oldies event of this caliber in Berlin.

Eight years ago Phil Bush made the long way from Lincoln in the UK to Berlin with his valve driven Sounds and Pressure Sound System. A very special night and I am very grateful that Phil and his mate Ash made the long trip on the other side of the road. Not only Brexit prevents such things for now and the near future, there simply are no venues or promoters in town that are willing to make such things possible and looking at the declining interest in our own events I fully understand.
Running an oldies sound is not financially feasable but an appreciation to Jamaican music and culture, hats off to everyone sticking to running a sound that way and going through all the hard work running shows like this. Thinking of Paul Axis and Tim Gl who did trips as long to play for us at YAAM Berlin.
Sounds and Pressure has always been a huge inspiration and Phil brought some boxes on that trip that are now a crucial part of Maratone Long Distance HiFi. Thanks for everything, mate!

Posters and flyers for the Vintage Jamaican Music Soundclash have been posted all around Europe. Unfortunately I don't have the time for screenprinting a special edition this year although the brilliant artwork by Tommy absolutely deserves it. A riso print is a nice alternative appreciating the art - would any of you like one? If so please comment the size you'd like - A3 or A2 would be possible, price depends on amount ordered but likely around 15-20 EUR.
