🌱 The Best Lesson on Children’s Day

This Children’s Day looked a little different. 🌱

Instead of celebrating in the traditional way, I spent the day in cross-border conversations with Karim Maataoui, Founder of UNVRS, exploring AI Governance, digital economies, industrial transformation, and international collaboration.

A sincere thank you to our partners in Changzhou for their warm hospitality (Thank you Changzhou and insightful exchanges. Every dialogue revealed not only technological ambition, but also a growing commitment to openness, governance, and long-term cooperation. 🤝

One lesson became even clearer:

The future will not belong to those with the most technology or capital. It will belong to those who can build lasting trust across industries, cultures, and generations.

Keeping a childlike heart isn’t about being naïve.

Back where my journey in renewable energy began in 2009. ⚡

This time, I returned alongside UNVRS/GRMN Founder Karim Maataoui to visit Energy and , exchanging perspectives on industrial innovation, international collaboration, and AI Governance.

Thank you to our partners and the local teams in Changzhou and Jintan for the valuable conversations and warm hospitality. 🤝

Walking through these facilities reminded me of one thing:

Global competitiveness is no longer built by manufacturing alone. It is built on governance, trusted collaboration, international standards, and the ability to adapt continuously.

Day 3 · Guangzhou

Some cities don’t just welcome international business—they make it work.

After a full day of meetings, I landed in Guangzhou well after midnight. Yet everything continued seamlessly: efficient hospitality, thoughtful service, meaningful conversations, and even an unexpected reunion with an investment banking partner in the executive lounge. ✨

A small innovation from a fellow entrepreneur in Germany’s Black Forest—a remarkably thin overnight eye patch—was a reminder that true innovation often improves the details of everyday life.

The evening concluded with a dinner hosted by the German Consulate overlooking the iconic Canton Tower, followed by a valuable visit with a military medical professional before the next destination.

One lesson becomes clearer with every city I visit:

Global competitiveness isn’t defined by skylines. It’s defined by a city’s ability to connect trust, talent, capital, and ex*****on.

That’s where meaningful partnerships begin—and where the future is built. 🤝🌍

Caught up with a longtime friend back in our hometown.

One built her journey between New York / New Jersey, the other between Frankfurt. Years ago, we studied finance together, prepared for international exams, and navigated the intensity of our early careers.

Looking back, the greatest lesson wasn’t technical expertise.

It was learning how to stay calm under pressure, focused on what matters, and intentional about the people we keep close.
