On June 30, the Royal Opera of Versailles will host a special concert performance of Handel’s Tamerlano, one of the great masterpieces of the Baroque repertoire.
Presented in a concert format, the production offers a fresh perspective on Handel’s work, combining historical depth with a contemporary artistic vision.
The performance will feature the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan under the direction of Alibek Kabdurakhmanov, joined by an outstanding international cast, bringing new energy and dramatic depth to Handel’s score.
Inspired by the story of Amir Temur, Tamerlano explores themes of power, destiny, love and human choice that remain as relevant today as they were three centuries ago.
An exceptional evening where music, history and artistic excellence meet in the heart of Versailles.
