Deep & Progressive Sensations #252 | The Silent Canopy
Last week was about my own survival.
This week is about what happens when the living world around us isn't allowed to survive.
• I recorded this set in a state of absolute, crushing Solastalgia.
• Recently, 500 of the oldest, most beautiful trees and natural monuments in my city were ruthlessly cut down.
• Among them was my favorite tree-radically stripped and mutilated right before summer. Looking at that empty space felt like a physical amputation.
• To process this grief, I had to step away from the driving Progressive club sounds and turn to Organic House and Downtempo.
• This mix is built on natural textures, wood, and earth-a sonic monument for the canopy that no longer rustles in the wind.
• It is a slow, deeply melancholic walk through a landscape that now only exists in our memories.
• This is for the 500 trees that fell in silence, and for the wildlife that lost their sanctuary in the wreckage.
✓ Turn the volume up, close your eyes, and listen to the ghosts of the forest.
