Luca Bigote

DJ and music curator, heart and brain of Tiella Sound Luca Bigote is an Italian-born and previously Berlin-based DJ with wide tastes across the music spectrum.

Displaying an intent to never be pinned down by genres, his diverse sets are long global journeys flirting with Ambient introspections, rarefied Soft Electronica, floating Downtempo beats, warm Organic Grooves, and all different shades of House. A versatile approach that has taken him to cities like Berlin, Tel Aviv, Brussels, Milan, Rome, Naples and more, places where he also shared the DJ booth

with pivotal artists like Tornado Wallace, Patrice Scott, Fantastic Man, Rahaan just to name a few. In the past, he also contributed for Italian music webzines such as Tsinoshi Bar and RITC, and acted as prime ambassador of Enzino's Records — a vinyl-only label supported by the likes of Axel Boman, Soul Clap, Wolf+Lamb, OYE Records, Phonica and where he released two edits back in 2017.

Tonight in Rome for BELLA FESTA!, the event organised by Pizza Club and Tiella Sound at La Redazione.

We kick off at 21:30 with a talk about music in sports TV programmes. We’ll start from Delphi’s album ‘Sport e Calcio’, released on Quattro Bambole Music, with contributions from Delphi, Nicola Gerundino (ZERO) and Livio Ghilardi (Quintiliani). In the VAR room, my trusted friend Federico Dask and I will be moderating the chat.

From 22:30 onwards, we’ll move from the bench to the (dance) pitch, with Basically Ugly Covers warming up the console before Delphi himself takes to the field.

New mix for Berlin-based party You Mean So Much, where I played back in June 2022!
I recorded it on a rainy afternoon, one of the first of this autumn. I closed the window and the studio door to create a small bubble, far from the noise of the world and let myself be guided by the sound alone.

While the rain was falling outside, I started listening to some tracks I had played at a summer party a couple of months ago. That’s when the idea came: to open the journey with something more spiritual, as if those vibrations could turn into a sun dance and clear the grey sky beyond the window.
Over the course of four or five tracks, the atmosphere slowly brightened, the rain stopped and the sky turned blue again. At that point, it felt natural to shift towards a more festive mood, kicked off by the unmistakable sound of Moodymann.

This selection is another step towards a sort of return to my roots: after years of exploring & blending different sounds, I felt the need to reconnect with those House (especially Deep House) grooves that first made me fall in love with this world, and that still make my soul resonate the most.
The mix also includes two tracks from the upcoming release on Tiella Sound, curated by Italian DJ/producer Nasty Boy and set to drop before the end of the year.
