Wael's musical journey connects Egypt, Europe, composition and spontaneous improvisation. After collaborating with Milad Khawam, WKMN and Raphael in Cairo and Geneva through the Geneva Connection project, we are bringing this musical encounter to Berlin.

Joining us would be Lynn Maya , a multimedia, audiovisual artist and electronic music producer based here in Berlin. Lynn will be creating audio reactive visuals along with the live performance by Wael and his group, taking this to another level! 

The evening continues with a presentation of the Arabic Maqam & Live Improvisation Masterclass, led by Wael ElSayed and the participating musicians.

And there’s more…

We’re bringing together a number of special guest musicians from the global international music scene, with some unexpected appearances along the way. Expect spontaneous encounters, musical surprises and collaborations that can only happen once — in this room, on this night.

Through Alobour (The Crossing), we create spaces where cultures meet, artists connect, and new musical languages emerge.

About Ghays Mansour:

My journey began with Arabic singing in Damascus, Syria, and continued in Mannheim, Germany, through my studies at the Academy of Pop Music.

Over the years, my musical path expanded through World Music and different genres such as Pop, Jazz, Bossa Nova and beyond.

Along the way, I have met and collaborated with many musicians and artists from around the world, performed at festivals and concerts, and discovered the richness of different cultures and traditions.

These experiences continue to shape my musical identity. My curiosity for the voice and music is an ongoing journey of exploration, learning and growth.
