Expert talk II >> In a dialog with the artist CHRISTINA HUBER and curator Emanuel Lucke, guest speaker SIGRID MARKITON, an expert in restoration and design, will provide us with an insight into the material worlds she has explored within the realms of historical preservation, film sets and architecture, amongst others - followed by open discussion.
-16.12. Expert talk III >> Guest speaker RONA BIRD, who contributes an academic background in the social sciences, and curator Dorothea Douglas will comment on the interplay of human gesture and material in processes of communication and signification.
Kunst im Wohnzimmer is a series of solo-exhibitions in Berlin, set in private living room environments with artist talks and open theoretical discussions. Events take place over the course of three days.

The Venue
is a semi-public off-space in Berlin that functions as both a studio and a place of liminality and thus exchange. Its semi-permeable nature mirrors that of our collective. This quality makes both entities able to interact meaningfully despite their open character.

Christina Huber, born 1988, lives and works in Berlin and London. She is currently studying fine arts at the University of Arts, Berlin and Central Saint Martins UAL London. With a painterly approach, she is interested in the interplay of gestures and various surface textures.
