You've waited a long time for this post... and here it is 🌸
I spent the entire winter preparing something new – and today, right in time for spring, I'm finally ready to share it with you.
May I introduce you .onigiri ?
Hand-crafted Onigiri made to order.
in Berlin-Mitte (Oranienburger Str. 72).
Together with my co-founder Maxim, I’ve been working on this project for over a year. In December, we signed the lease. This March, I traveled to Tokyo for several weeks of training with a renowned Onigiri master . I’ve just returned from Japan – full of inspiration and ready to open our doors this June 2025.
OKA means “hill” in Japanese – a gentle rise in a peaceful landscape. That’s exactly the spirit we want to bring to OKA.onigiri.
Our Onigiri are made fresh, right when you order. Unlike the ones you find in supermarkets, they’re fluffy, warm, and full of soul.
In Japan, every Onigiri maker wraps a little message, addressed to their eaters, inside:
"Here’s the energy you need to get through your day."
That’s the philosophy we hope to share with you, too.
