HEAR (they/them) is an unpredictable electronic music artist – DJ, producer, composer, label-owner (Naissance Musik ). With 2 decades of experience as a DJ in many venues worldwide. From eclectic inspirations, they create a modern type of music and mood that surprises and captivates any crowd. They discover new ways in music everyday, triggering emotions through imagination. cinematic in that it tells stories to party, to dream and dance to. HEAR (they/them) is an unpredictable electronic music artist – DJ, producer, composer, and label owner of Naissance Musik, based in Berlin and distributed worldwide both in vinyl and digital formats. With over two decades of experience, HEAR has performed at major clubs, events, and festivals around the world, captivating audiences with their groovy and dirty sounds. HEAR’s career began in 2003, gaining recognition in underground scenes as a DJ and avid music digger. Initially based in Lebanon, they moved to Montreal before finally settling in Berlin in 2013 where he founded his Label Naissance Musik. HEAR has released a variety of records, collaborating with renowned artists such as Move D, San Proper, Wareika and participating in band projects including Dream Scoring with Hakim Murphy, and Quarter Tones with Henrik Raabe.

Bit of pieces of our last Jam in the Studio with the amazing filming us while we improvise and record during the whole weekend. Here you see tuning the hand drum!
FYI: Any drum made with natural animal skin can be tuned higher by applying heat or lower with a few drops of water. The humidity level in the skin affects the tension, and the tension determines the pitch. In winter, you can place the drum near a heat source, while in summer—especially during rainy weather—you may need a hairdryer or even a lighter.
