Hello Dancers,
Festival Season is over, Tanzen 3000 is back! We missed you and we decided to have a Berlin Style last minute dance with you on Wednesday!! Let’s catch the last days of summer with a spontaneous Dance at Tempelhofer Feld.

Kazuma aka. Bodypoet is going to hold a workshop about how to co-create a fun, safe and interactive Dance-floor together.
Followed by a brand new Set by Rochelle Baz (recorded).

+++ GUIDELINES +++
* Pretty sober event - come as you are, but please no drugs or alcohol at the event.
* The dance floor is for dancing. Go to the chill spaces on the side for smoking, chatting, or phone use.
* Make sure when you seek contact that it's consensual. If you don't receive a clear and joyful yes, take it as a 'no' or a 'not now'
* The workshop is open level and we aim to make it very inclusive - no dance experience required.

The weather is looking good for our little dance holiday on Tuesday!
May I introduce to you the guides for your journey:

Thomas will get your bodies warmed up before the set with a tour de force through everything you ever feared in a dance class and finally will come to love. Open to all levels, no previous dance experience required!

In her sets Malou enjoys to blend sounds originating from various places and times. The dance journey she creates can flow from being playful, to sensual, to wild and silly or anything in between and beyond.

Tanzen3000s workshop focus:
HUMAN CONNECTION on the Dance Floor
Goal: to create an interactive, playful and connected dance floor where everybody feels safe and free.
-connect with people more easily
-learn to read their boundaries
-sense the energy flow which happens on the dance floor instead of blocking it
There are tools and specific excercises of how to bring this collective ecstasy.
Scontinents, Kazuma shares his expert insight to guide us all to a funky, playful realm of release.

"Letting go" is the theme of our final workshop of 2023.
Join us on 31.12. at 9pm at - a last flush of tickets is still available via (and for early joiners at the door).

Truth is, we haven't got this letting go stuff figured out at all - most of the time things move on, we just want to throw ourselves to the ground and be like eat s**t, letting go.

End of story.

Nah, not end of story. For NYE we're going to piece this puzzle together with everyone's help. Maybe it's ok to be a little clumsy and confused, maybe it's enough hanging out together unable to solve much at 9pm in the evening, and maybe it's nice to loosen up the body a bit right before the countdown..

It's been one of our favorite dance floors in Berlin - bye bye !

Very happy we were able to perform on your stage some weeks ago and celebrate you! Over 10 years you were the source of many wiggles on the dance floor, ludicrous DJ names, and occurances that started with 'hold my drink for a sec'.

GROOVE & FLOW is the 4th element in our workshops series where we go through our favorite basic dance concepts.

Many music styles - including Hip Hop, House Dance, and pretty much anything with a driving bass drum - build on groove. In dance, groove is a repetitive motion to the rhythm of the music. It can be as simple as nodding your head kinda cool or rocking your chest a little back and forth. Grooving is like welcoming the rhythm into your body before anything fancy happens.

However, fancy things tend to happen once Ben Pavlidis takes over the decks and the workshop transitions into a DJ set and open dance floor. This is the space to deepen your play with concepts from the workshop or simply go with your own flow.

Ha, Flow! Have we talked about it yet no we haven't! Will you ever find out how to go with your on flow or what it even means? Cliffhanger!

Dance Workshop + DJ Set
18-22h

The dance workshop's theme is musicality, or how to move to different layers of music. The workshop is open for all levels, incl. newcomere. It's one of our classics and facilitated by Ben Pavlidis (), co-founder of Tanzen3000 and professional musician known from his bands and as well as his solo work "Pavlidis"

The DJ set follows right after and opens a space to play with what you've taken from the workshop. TANZEN3000 sets traverse through different genres and BPM, like a curated sonic trip. This time, from Bachstelzen/Katermukke presents his mix.

After the set, we do a little closing together and serve pumkin soup and cacao for decompression.

If you've never been to TANZEN3000 before, please check out our guidelines on our website (link in bio) - there are a few special things about our dance floor you should be aware of. There's always loads of new people joining us, so don't be shy to come by yourself or with a buddy :)

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Tanzen3000 is looking for a new venue over winter!

Our previous homebase will become the hub for a political activism group on weekdays. We're ok with the relationship break and wish Zirkus Mond all the best with their new, temporary spouse. We're happy for Zirkus Mond that they found a more ahem serious partner.

And to be honest: this is an opportunity for us. We've long felt a calling for a new venue with floor heating, integrated pool, Saunalandschaft, and animals that can jump through hoops.

And no clowns.

Ok, the drama is just to get your attention - here are the actual key facts we require:

✨ Pre-installed soundsystem with subs
✨ Loud music and bass shouldn't be a problem
✨ Available weekdays 6-10 PM
