I never thought I would write these words until two weeks ago. But today I can finally say it: I made it !!!
I finally ended a relationship with a narcissistic and abusive person.
This person managed to distance me from everything: my friends, almost my family, and most importantly, from the thing I live for every single day: music.
I missed important gigs, opportunities, and parts of myself, and maybe that’s something I will never fully forgive myself for.
The relationship lasted for many long and intense months of living together. At first, everything seemed fine, until I slowly started feeling manipulated and controlled.
Over time, things became more serious, with episodes of aggression and abuse: finding myself without a phone, having my phone smashed and destroyed, feeling isolated and constantly under pressure.
I even walked away from the city of my dreams, Berlin, where I had moved only a few months earlier to finally start the life I had always wanted. I moved with him to a small town in Germany, trying everything to save that relationship, even imagining a future and a family together.
Then I finally realized the truth: things were not okay. The situation was far more serious than I wanted to admit.
Today, I’m grateful that I finally opened my eyes and understood how deeply this person hurt me.
A short while ago, I read a post from another girl , a DJ like me, who went through a very similar situation with an abusive and violent person. From that moment, a small support group was also created to help and support each other.

Today I’m back in my hometown, and right now all I need is my family, to begin a healing journey through therapy, and to have the people who truly love me by my side.
