Here is a little recap from the installations by our Art Directors Marina Zumi Art and Oriol Reverter from the last MATTER event.
As we take a moment to look back, we want to express our gratitude to the incredible crowd and talented artist who made our last event truly unforgettable. The energy and enthusiasm you brought to the dancefloor created an atmosphere of pure magic. 💎

On the 17th of June, MATTER is coming back to ELSE. This time we are happy to welcome Daniel Avery, Cressida, Mary Yuzovskaya, Neel together with DJ Red, Peter Van Hoesen (Live) and Tapefeed. Prepare for pulsating beats, mind-bending melodies, and a night filled with pure bliss. 💧

We're thrilled to feature the incredible work of our Art Directors, Marina Zumi and Oriol Reverter. The initial celebration blends two fundamental components to create the intriguing substance of Liquid Crystal, serving as the core concept inspiring the development of art installations that you will find at Matter. 💎

Marina Zumi Art, an Argentinian multimedia artist, creates large-scale murals, immersive light installations, and otherworldly sculptures that blend myth and fantasy. Her work revolves around spirituality and nature, and transports viewers to other dimensions. She has exhibited globally and collaborated with major cultural entities and brands.

Oriol Reverter, also known as Yuri, is a multi-talented artist who explores light and its behavior. He draws inspiration from the word "photography," which means to draw with light, and creates installations that play with the environment to produce stunning visual effects.

This Sunday’s music journey will be steered by well-known and renowned figures of the scene.

Starting from Detroit legend DJ Bone. Based in Amsterdam, Bone is an internationally celebrated producer and DJ and remains as authentic as his record collection, tracing back to the early 90s.

Hayes Collective founder Nørbak joins the bill. Following several releases on A_Files, Illegal Alien Records, Dynamic Reflection and many more, the Lux Frágil resident is one of the most consistent producers in today's techno scene.

VÂN ANH complements the mood perfectly. Garnering over a decade in the electronic music realm, the Amsterdam-based artist weaves groovy melodies with luminous beats, engaging her audience from the first cue.

Storied UK DJ and producer Shifted goes B2B with Tokyo-born artist Wata Igarashi, blending their mesmerising sounds of tripped, outer-space-type techno into one fluid session.

MATTER residents DJ Red and Tapefeed will complete the bill.

Matter is welcoming visiting chefs to Else.

On our first event, chefs from AV Restaurant and Verde Catering are partnering to bring everybody’s favorite street food: Tacos 🌮🌹with a twist of the urban food scene, made from locally sourced ingredients and seasoned with smoke and char.

Giulia Michetti from Verde Catering is dedicated to innovative, high-quality cuisine that reflects the diverse culture and rich bounty of Europe and Berlin. She searches the globe in search of burgeoning flavors and techniques.

Antonio Vinciguerra from AV Restaurant creates cuisine that is greater than the sum of its parts. His disciplined approach to preservation and ingredient selection results in unique and deep flavors that exceed expectations.

Lorenzo is an Italian chef based in Berlin since 2016. He trained in the UK, Spain, and France before joining Soho House. He now focuses on pizza at Mamida Berlin, one of Europe's top 50 pizzerias, and highlights local producers.

Join us at 2 pm for carnitas and pulled mushroom tacos, salsas, and plenty of napkins to celebrate.

We're delighted to introduce our second residents Tapefeed, an electronic music project created by Italian artists Alessandro Boni and Rick Vayo, now based in Berlin and Venice.

Their music combines elements of techno, experimental, and broken-beat grooves. They have performed at notable venues and festivals and shared the stage with renowned artists such as Jeff Mills, Ben Klock, and Paula Temple. Tapefeed has also released music on several respected record labels, including Houndstooth and Mord. In 2021, they launched their own imprint, "Inveterate," to explore the fringes of their artistic limits and bring fresh and unexpected elements to techno. They currently hold a residency at the legendary London club, Fabric.

Come witness their eclectic sounds at Else on May 14th.
