Showbiz Culture

Showbiz Culture We are SC Exhibitions. We create exhibitions which travel worldwide, and we host exhibitions in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland.

Showbiz Culture is the editorial platform of the international projects of Semmel Concerts, with information about our work and developments in arts, media and entertainment. SC stands for Semmel Concerts, the large German live entertainment producer of which we are a part. SC also stands for our motto "Showbiz Culture," because we don’t take ourselves too seriously. But what we do take seriously

is our dedication to quality, integrity and creativity, and our respect for the audiences who visit our exhibitions and events.

Who we are & What we do

We create exhibitions that travel worldwide, and we host exhibitions in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland. “SC” stands for Semmel Concerts, the large German live entertainment producer of which we are a division. Semmel Concerts ranks number four worldwide and number two in Europe for ticket sales based on annual ranking of entertainment promoters for the year 2018 by Pollstar magazine, a leading industry publication.

We are part of EVENTIM LIVE, Europe's leading ticketing and live entertainment company. We are also embedded in a strong international network of museums, science centres, cultural venues, and the creative industries and since 2012 have been hosting our very own convention for producers and hosts of touring exhibitions, “The Touring Exhibitions Meeting” (TEM). This event will adopt a new name and a revamped and refreshed concept as a convention and marketplace in 2020, when it will re-open as The Experience Economy Meeting (TEEM) in Downtown Los Angeles.

367,000 visitors came to see our latest exhibition, “Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes”, during its world premiere season at MoPOP, the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle. This exhibition is now open at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia (until early September 2019) and is on its way to break another visitor record. In October 2019 “Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes” will make its Canadian debut at the TELUS World of Science in Edmonton.

More than six million visitors across the globe have seen our recreation of the tomb of the Egyptian boy king Tutankhamun in our exhibitions “Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures” and “The Discovery of King Tut”, an exhibition concept touring with three units. 2022 will see the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the tomb, and we still have a few slots open in 2021/22.
