Wow, what a weekend! Another The Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational Barbecue is in the books and we are super proud and excited we could be part of it! What a company of top teams from all over the world!
This „Jack“ is long to be remembered! From the legendary Byron´s Butt Ranch party for the International Teams, cool party on the Hill, meeting old friends and creating new ones, to having a walk!
The weather was perfect and we didn´t even need to pull out our rain boots😂 (as we were well prepared).
Even though we were a little rusty after not competing for few years, we had couple warm up rounds at the American Royal World Series of Barbecue Invitational and Open.
We were happy with the cook and all of our turn ins.
We got:
1st🥇 place in Cooking from the homeland
22 place in chicken (best International)
25 place in ribs
64 place in pork
54 place in brisket
Overall 35th place out of 83 teams.
Our dessert, a pecan pie cheesecake didn´t do too well and finished in a 50th place (even with couple 7s for appearance🤪).
Congratulations to Heavy Smoke BBQ on GC and Good Googly Goo BBQ on RGC.
A special congrats to our good friends Tom and Dorine from Southern Dutch BBQ on their great results (3rd place brisket🥉, 10th place overall! We are very happy for you, guys!
Big thank you to BBQ EUROPE for making it possible, Yoder Smokers for letting us use as many smokers as we needed, Morgan Ranch Beef for the brisket, Byron Chism for letting us stay at the Ranch and the cool party.
