The exhibition Argus & Medusa: On Hope in Dark Times presents 25 artistic interpretations from 13 countries around the world of the iconic painting The Raft of the Medusa by the French painter Théodore Géricault.
🌊 This monumental work captivates not only through its sheer scale, radical subject matter, composition and ex*****on, but also through its epic portrayal of humanity in the face of catastrophe. Are we, too, in the midst of today’s multiple crises, waiting for the rescue ship Argus? How will we ourselves fare in the face of crises and catastrophes when all that remains of hope is a tiny speck on the horizon?
Come and seek out glimmers of hope from Tuesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
