«All About the Sea»: Έκθεση γλυπτικής του Σωτήρη Σεβαστίδη στο Atelier 301

Ο αυτοδίδακτος καλλιτέχνης Σωτήρης Σεβαστίδης παρουσιάζει τη νέα του σειρά μικρών γλυπτών, αποτέλεσμα πολυετών πειραματισμών και αφοσιωμένης δημιουργικής πορείας. Τα έργα του γεννιούνται μέσα από υλικά που συλλέγει από παλιατζίδικα, αποθήκες και εργαστήρια - υλικά που έχουν χάσει τη χρηστική τους αξία, αλλά αποκτούν νέα ζωή μέσα από τη δική του καλλιτεχνική ματιά.

Η έκθεση, με τίτλο «All About the Sea», είναι αφιερωμένη στη θάλασσα και στη διαχρονική σχέση του ανθρώπου με αυτήν. Μέσα από τα έργα του, ο καλλιτέχνης αποτυπώνει τη δύναμη, τη ρευστότητα και τη μυστικότητα του θαλάσσιου στοιχείου, δημιουργώντας μορφές που παραπέμπουν σε οργανισμούς και κόσμους κάτω από την επιφάνεια του νερού.

Με βασικό άξονα τη φαντασία, ο Σεβαστίδης μεταμορφώνει παλιά μέταλλα και ανακυκλώσιμα αντικείμενα σε μοναδικά έργα Upcycled Art. Τα γλυπτά του διακρίνονται για την ένταση, τη δυναμική και την ενέργεια που αποπνέουν, ενώ ταυτόχρονα χαρακτηρίζονται από μια ιδιαίτερη αισθητική λεπτότητα και ισορροπία. Παρότι αυτοδίδακτος, το έργο του αποπνέει ωριμότητα και εκφραστική δύναμη, με γλυπτά που συνδυάζουν τεχνική ακρίβεια και καλλιτεχνική ευαισθησία.

⏩️Τα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης θα πραγματοποιηθούν αύριο Τρίτη 22 Απριλίου 2026 στις 19:00, από τον Υπουργό Εσωτερικών κ. Κωνσταντίνο Ιωάννου.

⏩️Η έκθεση φιλοξενείται στον χώρο Atelier 301 (A+ Multipurpose Event Space), στην οδό Ερμού 266, Χρυσαλινιώτισσα, 1017 Λευκωσία και θα διαρκέσει από τις 22 Απριλίου έως την 1η Μαΐου 2026.

"all about the sea" - exhibition by the artist Sotiris Sevastide

We are thrilled to be hosting for another time the intriquing metal works of Sotiris Sevastides.

This new collection of recycled art is inspired by marine life and island
identity. Raised on the island of Cyprus, Sotiris grew up surrounded by
the sea, an influence that continues to shape his artistic direction.

The exhibition features dolphins, mermaids, ships, and other
sea-inspired forms, presented through strong, expressive
compositions that reflect the character and movement of the marine
world.

Sotiris Sevastides and his workshop,@atelier_301@atelier_301 Atelier 301, are located in Ermou Street, 301, in the Chrysaliniotissa area of the old town, Nicosia.

Opening: Wednesday 22nd April at 7 PM by the Honorable Minister of Interior Mr. Constantinos Ioannou.

Open House Nicosia is a premier cultural initiative, launching for the first time in Cyprus on 18–19 April 2026. As part of the prestigious Open House Worldwide network, the event celebrates architecture and the built environment, fostering a deeper global appreciation for urban design.

For its 2026 edition, Open House Nicosia opens the doors of notable public and private spaces, providing the community with free guided tours by volunteers and experts. The program also features themed walks and events designed to showcase the city’s unique urban fabric. In doing so, Nicosia is reimagined—both in spirit and in practice—as a vast, open museum of architecture.

We are honored to be selceted among other prestigious biuldings. Our space will be available for a tour on the 19th of April from 13:00 - 17:00.
