We were honored to welcome Mr. Demetris Skourides, Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation and Technology of Cyprus, and sincerely thank him for his support, presence and active participation throughout the event.
From officially opening the expo, to contributing to the panel “Cyprus as an Innovation Hub: What’s Next”, and delivering a powerful keynote featuring for the first time in Cyprus, Cyprus AI Ecosystem – The GAIA Survey and the services offered by the Research innovation foundation.
His keynote stood out as a truly groundbreaking moment of the event, one that resonated deeply with attendees, stayed with them beyond the session, and helped clearly define the direction of AI in Cyprus. It wasn’t just informative, but strategic, offering a vision that connected data, policy, and real-world impact in a way that set the tone for what comes next.
His message was clear and timely: AI is not just about technology, it is about strategy, talent, governance, and national ambition. Cyprus has the opportunity not only to adopt AI, but to build meaningful, scalable solutions and position itself as a serious player in the global innovation landscape.
During the event Mr Skourides interacted with more than 6 startups and held various 1-2-1 meetings discussing about the go-to-market and product development of new AI startups.
Thank you again for your leadership and contribution.
This is just the beginning.
