Choreographer-performer Elena Antoniou and musician Maria Spivak meet on stage for the first time in ODE. Following LANDSCAPE—which continues, for a third consecutive year, to travel across European festivals with the support of Onassis Stegi—the new chorographic work traces a path that shifts the gaze, the space, the time, and the relationship with the spectator.

In ODE, the two artists redefine each institutional venue as a field of attunement, standing at the threshold where rupture meets rebirth. The gaze becomes a force — it does not divide, but sees with an eroticism that longs to draw near, to unite. Vulnerability becomes a passage to another kind of strength. Hierarchies and roles recede. Presence asserts itself: becomes sound, movement turns to vibration, and coexistence becomes an act of re-claiming space.

ODE is a powerful, melodic, dense state an act of embodied poetry. A gesture of transition: from dominance to a language of elevation.

Ενημερώνουμε το κοινό ότι: Η παράσταση του Σαββάτου 27/09 μεταφέρεται από τις 20:30 στις 17:00 ❗️ We would like to inform our audience that the performance on Saturday 27/09 has been rescheduled from 20:30 to 17:00 ❗️

🔹 Η παράσταση της Κυριακής 28/09 παραμένει ως έχει στις 18:30 & 20:30.
✨ Λίγα λόγια για το έργο
Η χορογράφος – περφόρμερ Έλενα Αντωνίου και η μουσικός Μαρία Σπίβακ συναντιούνται για πρώτη φορά στη σκηνή στο έργο ODE. Μετά το LANDSCAPE, το οποίο συνεχίζει για τρίτη χρονιά να ταξιδεύει σε φεστιβάλ της Ευρώπης με τη στήριξη του Onassis Stegi, το νέο έργο ακολουθεί μια διαδρομή που μετακινεί το βλέμμα, τον χώρο, τον χρόνο και τη σχέση με τον θεατή.

Στο ODE, οι δύο καλλιτέχνιδες μετατρέπουν τον θεσμικό χώρο παρουσίασης σε πεδίο συντονισμού και στέκονται εκεί όπου συναντιούνται η ρήξη και η αναγέννηση. Η παρουσία γίνεται ήχος, η κίνηση δόνηση, η συνύπαρξη μια μορφή διεκδίκησης. Πρόκειται για μια πράξη ενσώματης ποίησης, μια μετάβαση από τον έλεγχο στη γλώσσα της ανάτασης.

🖋️ Το ILAND, η μουσική περφόρμανς του Κύπριου καλλιτέχνη ody icon, σε συνεργασία με τον Alejjo και τη video artist Diyala Muir, παρουσιάζεται ξανά στο Θέατρο Ριάλτο.
Εμπνευσμένη από τη γεωγραφία και την ιστορία της Κύπρου, αλλά και το έργο του Ζιλ Ντελέζ, η παράσταση βλέπει το νησί όχι ως απομόνωση, αλλά ως δυνατότητα σύνδεσης.
Είμαστε νησιά στο ίδιο αρχιπέλαγος, με τις δικές μας ρωγμές, σιωπές, ελπίδες και γλώσσες. Και μέσα σε αυτή την απόσταση, γεννιέται η ανάγκη για γέφυρες — όχι από έλλειψη, αλλά από αγάπη. Το ILAND είναι μια διαδρομή προς την κοινότητα. Μια πράξη αντίστασης στην αποξένωση. Ένας ύμνος στη δυνατότητα της συνύπαρξης.

Rialto Theatre

Rialto is a major performing arts venue serving the demands of multicultural audiences in Cyprus for exceptional local and international events in music, drama,cinema, dance and opera. Rialto is a Non Profit Organization situated in Limassol. It was created both as a stage for performances as well as an organization by the Limassol Co-Operative Savings Bank. The Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture form its most important contributor.
