We often advise brides a number of things before they arrive Dress hanging tags are there for a reason! DO NOT cut them out, they are designed to take the weight of your
dress and stop it from stretching or taking damage when it’s on the hanger.
Pack your dress on its own to avoid staining from leaking toiletries etc It doesn’t take much to stain a wedding dress. Great care ought to be taken to make certain that it doesn’t come
into contact with something that might cause an unsightly mark, One of the biggest things is SUNSCREEN especially since the chances of being able to get the stain removed in time for the wedding upon your arrival are usually slim to none.
Book dress steaming services
It’s a good idea to take the dress out of its packaging once you arrive in Cyprus, hang it up, and fluff it out a bit.
Also, as most hotel wardrobes are not long enough to deal with the length of a wedding dress or bridesmaid dress ask a bridesmaid or family member to hang your dress in their room until your wedding day. Alternatively, we can arrange to return your dress at breakfast time on the morning of your wedding.
Hangers for you and your guests
Most hotels only have a small number of hangers in their wardrobes, normally they are the type that remain in the
wardrobes. It is a good idea to invest in specific hangers with the bridal party names or role on. Also these look
great in photos.
Protecting your dress
It’s essential to have a suitable sized dress bag or for very large dresses, a clean white double duvet cover with
you, this will keep your dress clean and away from prying eyes on its return to you after steaming.
Remember plastic will make the fabric sweat and can stain the dress. So do not leave in plastic of any kind. A duvet cover is also great to place on the floor when you put your dress on by stepping into it after hair and make-up.
