Our Roots: In 1972 Mrs. Hilda Vinck-Leañez founded the carnival group Jumping Hats. Together with family members and friends they participated in Curaçao's carnival parade for the first time in 1973. Jumping Hats has made an enormous contribution to Curaçao's carnival during the 36 years that followed.
It has always been Hilda’s dream to carry this tradition on to the next generation of ‘karnavalistas’. This is where the name "Hats off to Dreams" originated, meaning “to express admiration for someone who has done something praiseworthy.”
The carnival tradition is a gift that we certainly and continuously cherish. Hats off to Dreams wants to make a contribution to this phenomenal cultural event as one of the new and hottest carnival groups. Our vision: " Push the boundaries of what’s possible, revolutionizing Curaçao's traditional and cultural carnival event.” Now that’s HOTD!
Every year we look forward to share our creation with you.... our friends, family and all of Curaçao (Kòrsou kompletu!).
