The final challenge. The ultimate title. ✨🍸

The winners of the five categories — Classic, National, Long Drink, Mocktail, and Mediterranean — faced the final stage of the International Barlady Competition: the Barlady of the Year challenge.

In this exciting round, the competitors were given a mystery box and had 30 minutes in the preparation room to design and prepare their cocktail.
Then, they stepped on stage with just 10 minutes to craft their drink and present it to the judges through technique, creativity, and storytelling.

Mediterranean aromas, citrus notes, and creativity behind the bar 🍋🌿🍸

In the Mediterranean Style Category of the International Barlady Competition, five competitors were selected by lottery from the fifteen participants to take part in this special challenge, powered by Merlin Gin from (Théo & André, Koumquat, Limoncello)in Corfu.

Inspired by the vibrant flavors of Corfu — especially its fragrant citrus fruits, aromatic herbs, and Mediterranean botanicals — the bartenders crafted cocktails that celebrated freshness, balance, and regional character.
Each competitor brought her own interpretation of Mediterranean mixology, transforming these ingredients into elegant and refreshing creations.

This carousel captures the highlights of the category — the competitors in action, the beautiful cocktails created, the judges evaluating the drinks, and the special moment of the winning announcement.

Congratulations to the winner and to all the talented competitors who made this category a true celebration of Mediterranean cocktail culture. As the category winner had already won another category and the five category winners would compete for the title of Barlady of the Year, the place was passed on to the second-place winner of this category.

The bartenders stepped behind the bar to craft vibrant, alcohol-free cocktails that proved great mixology doesn’t need alcohol to shine.
Through innovative combinations, beautiful presentation, and balanced flavors, each competitor showcased the art of mindful drinking.

"Make a large batch and be sure to milk punch by filtering the mix through a fine cloth!

To serve:
30ml Mezcal
15ml Rumchata
15ml Coffee Liqueur
5ml Orange Liqueur

Combine all in a shaker and serve over ice sphere in a rocks glass".
