📍UTORAK U 20H, OSTAVINSKA GALERIJA (KC Magacin, Kraljevića Marka 8, Beograd)
Program traje oko 60 minuta (projekcije i razgovor), nakon čega sledi neformalno druženje.

Join us to a presentation of the short film in progress “Stories of Borrowed Memories”, followed by a selection of guest animated films.
📍 TUESDAY, 8 PM AT OSTAVINSKA GALLERY (KC Magacin, Kraljevića Marka 8, Belgrade)
The event will present a short experimental animated film in its early stages, with the first minutes created during a residency of three artists from Serbia and Kosovo in July 2026.
Marija Rodić (filmmaker), Diellza Bylygbashi (graphic designer), and Antun Gverović (graphic designer and 2D animator) spent ten days together in Pristina, working at the studio of Anibar’s Animation Academy. They experimented with photographs from their family archives and their own childhood memories.
Through their collaborative process, they explored where memory ends and fiction begins: what is fact, what is truth, what is constructed, and how much a story changes depending on who remembers it and through which artistic form they attempt to reconstruct that memory.
Gradually, they began mixing their memories and photographs, intervening in each other’s memories, exchanging ideas, and piecing together new stories from old fragments.
The idea was to explore how subjective, unstable, and open to new interpretations memory can be — and how new truths can emerge from the same artefacts. The boundary between image and story, documentary and fiction, was constantly shifting and changing.
The artists worked with different techniques of stop-motion animation on photographs, including drawing, painting, cut-out, chemical experiments, and more.
The residency is part of the project “Fostering Sustainable Partnerships and Dialogue: Arts and Culture Collaboration between Kosovo and Serbia”, implemented by Anibar (Peja) and ICSS (Belgrade).
See you Tuesday at 8 PM at Ostavinska! 🌀
The programme will last approximately 60 minutes (screenings and a discussion), followed by an informal get-together.
