Today, we celebrate the third chapter of this wonderful wedding trilogy, and though it’s the most recent, we hope it’s not the last with the lovely Cabalceta family.

In March 2023, Laura and Hugo not only tied the knot but also brought their worlds together. Their love story is like a romantic movie, where fate brought them together by chance. As the legend goes, those connected by the red thread are destined to be soulmates and live an unforgettable story.

For us, the ceremony is the most important part of a wedding because it’s the reason everyone comes together. And what could be more special than having the bride’s cousin, whom she considers a brother, officiate the ceremony with love and camaraderie? This personal touch made the moment even more meaningful and emotional for everyone.

Despite a week of unexpected rain during the peak of Guanacaste summer, Lau and Hugo were determined to have their dream outdoor wedding. Even though we had backup plans, we followed their hearts, and it turned out to be the only day that week without rain, and the weather was perfect.

Granizados were a delightful treat to beat the heat during sunset, the traditions added a special touch, and Bagguette, their adorable pet, made a star appearance at the party.

We knew us Costaricans especially from Santa Cruz know how to celebrate, but we had no idea that Peruvians have even more energy! The combination was perfect for an unforgettable night on the dance floor, with music carefully curated by the couple.

And a special thanks to the Cabalceta family and friends, those familiar faces that welcome us at every wedding with big smiles and warm hugs.

It’s such a joy to share the second chapter of this unforgettable trilogy! Diana & Fabián’s wedding in February 2020 was incredibly special to us, not only because Diana is Vivi’s cousin but also because it was our last big celebration before the world changed. That day felt like destiny’s gift—a stunning summer afternoon that seamlessly transitioned into a magical full moon night, perfect for dancing and celebrating life!

The Chapel and Palapas at Hacienda Pinilla provided the perfect setting, beautifully complemented by Guanacaste’s golden sunsets. From the lively Marimba Orchestra Maribel to the beloved ‘payasos y espantaperros,’ Santa Cruz traditions made their mark on this joyous occasion. And let’s not forget the personal touch—every decoration was lovingly crafted by the bride’s family, making the day even more memorable.

Diana & Fabián, thank you for letting us be a part of your beautiful journey. Here’s to love, laughter, and more unforgettable moments!

This week, we want to take you through a trilogy that is very special to us: a family that has honored us by being part of 3 of their weddings.

Today, we start with Vivi & Billy. They began it all in 2018, but our story with the Cabalceta family (the bride’s maternal family) goes much further, as we share our roots in Santa Cruz, Guanacaste.

When Vivi contacted me to organize her wedding, I was very excited because it gave me the opportunity to showcase my work to many people from my hometown and, moreover, to do it at my favorite beach, Junquillal, which made it even more special.

In the decoration, the highlight of the show was all the details created by , the bride’s company, which specializes in beautiful custom laser-cut creations

Despite storm forecasts, we had a beautiful and cool night full of love, dancing, smiles, and traditions. Thank God, the rain never came.

A few days ago, I shared Austin and Erica’s welcome event, and today I’m thrilled to take you through their stunning tropical wedding at Manuel Antonio Beach.

Planning a wedding on a public beach is a unique challenge, but having the perfect team and vendors made it all possible. From building friendships with the locals to running an electric extension cord across the estuary, every detail was meticulously managed.

Austin, Erica, their family, and friends danced the night away, and from the moment we met them, we knew it was going to be an unforgettable celebration!

The reason it is so difficult for me to post (something I’m trying to improve) is because I struggle to choose just a few photos. I become so involved with each couple and wedding that it’s impossible to describe the uniqueness of each in just a few words. While you might want me to talk about the decorations, I want to tell you about how Laurel personally prepared many of the details, like the seating chart, or how Philip surprised everyone by being part of the fire show. I want to share how special it was to celebrate their wedding at their family home and how nostalgic it felt, knowing it was the last celebration there. I want to tell you how, as we welcomed the New Year (yes, their wedding was on December 31st), under a shower of fireworks from the entire city, they and their friends jumped into the pool. Every hug and every smile behind a wedding is so hard to capture in a small post.

In April, we had the honor of being part of and wedding. From the very first day, they stole our hearts with their warmth and charm. Over a year of planning, we shared unforgettable moments that we will always treasure.
