Sometimes words fall short when trying to describe all the emotions that come with being part of a love story like Janet & Sean’s.

As the officiant of their union, I feel deeply honored and grateful to meet such beautiful souls — people who showed up from the very beginning with authenticity, openness, and so much love in their hearts.

Together, surrounded by the people who love them most, they shared a heartfelt cacao ceremony where we honored not only their connection, but also the invisible presences that continue to live within us through love and memory. We shared cacao as a way to open the heart, slow down, and celebrate this beautiful union.

And after the ceremony, the celebration continued with an authentic Costa Rican experience organized by Mindful Costa Rica 🇨🇷 - a night filled with culture, music, connection, and joy. (Soon we’ll be sharing more details, photos, and videos from their beautiful itinerary and wedding celebration.)

For Alexa & Peter the day started with the blessing of the rain… creating a romantic atmosphere… but the sky cleared for them to have a beautiful intimate ceremony… my first ceremony in Spanish and I loved it! “Porque hay historias que no terminan, solo se transforman. Y esta es una de ellas: el primer amor y el último.” Thank you for the amazing photos, we can’t wait to see them all! Nickie & Jesse had a beautiful intimate Wedding Cacao Ceremony … they shared they own vows and their first dance with music courtesy of local ticos that were visiting Llanos del Cortez. Natasha reached out to me a few months ago because they wanted a ceremony that truly reflected them: their values, their essence, and their deep love for nature.
From our very first conversation, it was clear that Costa Rica wasn’t just a beautiful destination; it represented the nature they both cherish in their hearts.
Getting to know their story and creating a personalized script and ceremony for them was an absolute joy for me.

They chose the breathtaking La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a place surrounded by clean water, lush greenery, and vibrant flowers that accompanied this beautiful day — and each element of the Cacao Ceremony carried a special meaning for their day.

A few minutes before seeing Natasha in her stunning dress, ready to say “I do,” I shared a moment with John that I will never forget. He told me: “I want to make Natasha happy, because Natasha makes me happy.” ❤🥹

Those words touched me deeply because it is beautiful when a couple understands that their union goes beyond emotion — it is a conscious choice to love one another and to bring happiness into each other’s lives.

The moment of the ceremony felt intimate, and their eyes reflected the love that has brought them together. And even though we were surrounded by cameras and so much movement, I felt as if we were inside a small dome — where the energy of the place, the love that unites them, and all the sacred elements we honored came together to make this moment feel perfect.

Thank you, Natasha and John, for trusting me with your story. It was an honor to be part of such a beautiful day. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.

I & A reached out to me with the dream of sharing an intimate ceremony at the foot of the majestic La Fortuna Waterfall. They wanted to celebrate their union in a meaningful and spiritual way — a moment where they could truly speak from the heart.

Since we couldn’t use our handcrafted clay cups at the waterfall, we created a special ritual with a chocolate tasting, where each flavor carried a symbolic meaning within the personalized script we designed for them.

It was a unique and moving moment. I & A are such a sweet couple, who shared the essence of their love with honesty, commitment, and tenderness.

I wish that the union of these two souls continues to bring joy, fulfillment, and blessings — not only into their lives, but also into the lives of those around them.

Sometimes, love finds us in the simplest of moments.
For J & A, it all began back in high school with a request as small as borrowing a pencil and paper.
What started as a casual exchange became the beginning of a lifelong story.

For their special day, Joice Dahianna chose each spot with intention, waking up early to make sure she captured not only the love J & A share, but also the dramatic beauty of the Pacific coast. Her eye for detail and talent for storytelling truly shine through every image.
