After graduating from Johnston & Wales University in 2002 with BA in Food Service Entrepreneurship I became the executive chef of Cafe of the Arts in Sarasota, FL. After winning best young chef of the South East United States in a culinary competition in 2004, I decided to broaden my horizen by acquiring experience in other fine dining restaurants in New York and Paris (Lasserre). In 2004, it was time for a change and moved my family to Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica where we established Mar Y Sol Restaurant. We were open from 2004 to 2013 and developed a very good reputation in both the restaurant and our catering services. Mar y Sol closed in 2013 but we opened Coco Loco Restaurant and Bar on Flamingo Beach and the catering services have expanded."
