JEmmanuel Cortés aka Simsek was born in Zacatecas, a colonial city in north central Mexico; when he was younger he lived for one year in U.S.A (New Haven, Connecticut) and Germany (Göttingen, Niedersachsen) because of his father's work/studies, that gave him another vision of the Electronic music; being always a music lover since he was a kid, he started to mix with CD Players at an early age; and since then, he keeps playing in private parties, clubs and open air events. He has played in the mexican citites of: Aguascalientes, León, San Luis Potosí & Guadalajara; he is a music lover, so he mostly loves all genres, but he specifically focuses in Progressive & Psychedelic Trance (135 - 142 BPM) with his project SIMSEK, you will also listen to him playing: Techno & Progressive House (120- 126 BPM) with his project: JEMMANUEL C.

He has shared stage with well known Producers/Djs: X-Noize, Ex- Gen, Z-Cat, Jano, Simon Titus, Le Manuel, 3D-Ghost, Major 7, Speedball, Jiser, RainDrop, Fashion Viktims, Skywalker, Alignments, Xhano, Interactive Noise, Z3ro, Axer, Hadouken, Anaxadora just to name a few.

With a refined tracks selection when mixing, he tries always to give a touch of freshness to his sets, refined & deep sounds, harmonious, most of the times hypnotic, always looking for soft atmospheres and the newest tracks to be played.

Defined as a music lover, he is always looking and compiling music from over the world, he is working on his solo projects: JEMMANUEL C. (Techno / Progressive House) & SIMSEK (Progressive / Psytrance)

Currently he heads up @altona-records a promoter agency and label based in Zacatecas, MX, organizing electronic events (indoor & open air), he is promoting and supportinf the best Djs & producers from de region.
