The first thing is that you are clear with your clients; answer the following questions.

What services are you going to provide exactly and in exchange for what?: it can be money that you receive, dollars, bitcoins or spices. What you have established with your client, it must be clear

Then, what will the client receive from the moment of hiring you? for example, if you have to change the date of the event, if you get sick or have an accident, what happen?

What is the contingency plan in case you cannot provide your services?

What duties does your client have for you to do your job?

What rights and guarantees does your client have regarding the services that they are going to contract with you?

Are there set delivery times? What parts of your workflow should the customer know and agree to? (for example, if you need two hours to carry out the contracted decoration and that the client must know it to take it into account)

I also recommend that there are no surprises or "fine print". This will be essential to avoid any misunderstanding and take care of the trust that your client has placed in you.

Before taking this big step, I give you the following tips to choose wisely:
1. Find 3 wedding planners with whom you feel identified. Do your research: analyze years of experience, commercial references, way of operating (this is what I mean if there is a stack if you receive commissions from your suppliers, etc.)

2. Schedule your appointment and ask all the questions that keep you up at night…. What if something happens to your wedding planner? How many people are in your team? Fees? What contingency plans do you have and how have you faced challenges?

3. If there is a click, follow your instinct, that little thing in your belly that guides you; do not get carried away by the emotion and much less by the cost of their services. Remember that most of the time cheap is expensive. Of course, the most expensive is not always the best. Remember that you are paying for experience and knowledge.

4. Make the decision so that this process does not stress you out and go ahead, hire their services and get to work. Enjoy the process and the adventure!

Una tormenta amenazaba con la decoración. Contra todo pronóstico, pudimos sacar adelante cada detalle de esta boda.

Las condiciones del clima nos desafiaron pero al final, los invitados gozaron cada momento junto a la pareja.

Siempre es necesario estar anticipados y preparados para cualquier imprevisto.

Por esto, te aconsejo que le hagas esta pregunta a tu wedding planner, antes de contratarla: ¿qué decides ante un imprevisto climático, como una lluvia o una tormenta?
