One of the greatest mistakes you can ever make as a marketer or sales person is you propose solutions to a problem without finding out what the problem is. Don't be too quick to talk and don't assume you fully understand the problem because in marketing and sales, assumptions don't cut it.

Now the common thing to understand is when you're talking to a client, you first of all understand the problem or better still you diagnose from there you are able to prescribe medication that serves the purpose.

Let's look at this example, you walk into the hospital and you tell the doctor you're not feeling fine and the first thing he does is gives you drugs without finding out what exactly is wrong with you, what will be your reaction?
