Such a lovely visit from the radiant Vanessa from ! We had a special visit from her at Toth’s Chimney Cake in the heart of the Old Town—and we’re still glowing from her presence! Vanessa is a sound healer and space holder, and it was such a joy to share our cozy corner of the city with someone who brings so much light and intention into the world.

Chimney Cake – The different Taste of Cake

Der Chimney Cake, auch Baumstriezel, Kürtöskalács und Trdelnik genannt ist ein traditionelles Gebäck aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. In Ungarn, Tschechien und Rumänien ist er der «Streetfood-Klassiker» schlechthin.

Aus frischem, selbstgemachtem Teig entsteht in Handarbeit vor den Augen der Kunden ein Kunstwerk aus Teig.

Der Chimney Cake schmeckt zu jeder Tageszeit. Der noch warme, nach traditionellem Rezept gebackene Hefeteig, kann nach Belieben mit Nutella, Eiscreme, Schlagsahne, Früchten oder auch mit salzigen Zutaten gefüllt werden.
