Joining MODULA 26


ESI began with the founding of RIDI multimedia GmbH in 1998 by Claus Riethmüller.

Claus began his career as a designer of innovative audio software solutions, where he was able to idyllically combine his interest in music and sound design with his skills as a software developer.

His company started with the distribution of select professional hardware and software in the music market.

The name ESI originated from audio products company Ego Systems, Inc. in Korea.

In 2006 ESI Audiotechnik GmbH was setup by RIDI to improve already existing ESI products and to offer unique new audio solutions with some truly innovative ideas. By 2010, all designs were carried out by the new ESI Audiotechnik GmbH in Germany.

In 2013 RIDI multimedia GmbH and ESI Audiotechnik GmbH were finally merged into one company.

Today, the product development is performed at the company headquarters in Leonberg, Germany.

Inspired by the sounds and technology of the 80s and 90s, such as: Digitech Whammy pedals, Tascam Portastudios, overdriven analog signals, cobbled together recording setups, and sequencers that predate the MIDI specification.

All devices are hand-built and tailored for live performance and manipulation.

Australian Tactile Instruments was founded in 2026, following 20+ years of software development and active involvement in live-coding corners of the internet.

Research and development draws from residencies at Baltic Analog Lab (Latvia), PIFcamp (Slovenia), and Phonolab Heavy Industries (Australia).

Jolin is a music technology brand specialized in sound art installations and modular synthesizers led by Federico Intrisano - hardware designer and musician.
The workshop is based in Como, Italy.

The Lab.
In 2018, “Jolin Lab” came to life in Federico’s garage. There, alongside Pedro Ferragut - software engineer, the first oscillator on a breadboard was born.

Using only a handful of components sourced from a local store, they watched a circuit transform into sound. An electrifying sensation that still drives every Jolin design.

As the project progressed through the years, it gained scientific rigor and artistic excellence, supported by Mihaela Costisanu - painter and visual designer, Marco Zoppi - composer and sound designer and Giacomo Tombolan - electronic engineer.

A new project in town!
DBLU2000 is the latest alias of a Zürich-based artist submerged in electronic music for more than a decade.

Starting out in Munich running a record label, playing live and DJing in several clubs, his path continued with a collaboration known as Preset gradually bringing more and more drum & bass influences into his and their live and DJ sets.

Now playing live solo as DBLU2000, keeping that vibe while adding a more personal touch.

A set rooted in experimental drum & bass paired with machines and layers of echo that keep the floor and the mind equally occupied.

Ramon has been a DJ, producer, and live act since 2009.

In the past, he performed under many pseudonyms. Additionally, he is co-owner of Klub Kauz in Zurich. Today, he performs exclusively as a live act under his own name Ramon Wespe.

His music productions resists clear categorization, yet remains consistently minimalistic, catchy, and unique qualities that clearly define his style.
