🌱 SUSTAINABILITY AWARD — Borderless Kitchen 🇨🇭
Europe’s best traders battled their way through 13 national Street Food Awards – cooking for more than 100,000 people – to earn their place in the 2026 European Street Food Awards final at Burgerpark in Saarbrücken, 18–20 September.
They travelled by truck, plane and ferry — across mountains and over water — to transport the ingredients for the dishes that entitled them to be here. Iceland had a meltdown with their butter at customs. But, in the end, we broke bread together in one joyous food fight.
Cooking for the public.
Cooking for a jury of Michelin-star chefs, restaurant critics and food obsessives.
And cooking for the title of European Street Food Champion 2026.
It was one hell of a weekend.
And this is how it went down.

🥇 Borderless Kitchen 🇨🇭 takes home the Sustainability Award.
Everything is made from scratch, with home-grown ingredients wherever possible — including coriander, fenugreek, chilli and Sichuan pepper from the garden.
There’s a compost heap, a zero-waste kitchen and solar-charged batteries on the truck.
And in 10 years of business, they have never once served a meal on single-use plastic.
That’s sustainability in action. 🌱☀️
